I've been a bit slow adding to the family gallery of late, and I suspect this may be the last year that I shall keep up the blog-to-book entries. They've been enormous fun, and the books have made irreplaceable treasures, but the girls are now growing up, heading off in all manner of directions, and it has to be said that one or two of them are losing their patience with Dad's enthusiasm for sticking a camera into their lives at every opportunity.
Which is not to say that I shan't be taking lots more pictures of the little buggers, and occasionally posting them here and there: but five years, five volumes is enough, and Zelie's fifth birthday on September 4th will mark the final entry in the Wit Over Ignorance blog (you can start the online petitition now, write to President Obama, offer me vast bribes, but it won't change my mind). Quit while you're ahead is more than a motto - it's a way of life.
There's lots to report before September 4th, though, and below I'm happy to record Cleo's arrival for her 15th birthday celebrations. Her two small sisters literally jumped into her arms. Happy birthday, daughter number two.
